This stalling problem started suddenly. It didn't gradually get worse... The Savage purred like a kitten one day and then the next day it stalling started. I tried all the basic stuff that others on this forum have done to solve their problems. I did read about gas caps not venting, but until I took it to the dealer I didn't know there were any adjustments you could make to the cap. As far as I knew, you just took the cap off with the key and put it back on. I didn't know about the screw on the underside of the cap, so I didn't mess with it. In any event, it's under warranty and the dealer has been around for 20+ years and has an excellent repuration. I haven't heard from them yet, but I'm hoping it turns out to be something simple.
